    7.1 General

Any processor of the same or higher specifications as recommended for your operating system.

1. What is LSU?
   LSU stands for Local Setup for Utility. If a computer with this application installed is connected to this machine,
   you can change the settings of this machine or view the counter or machine conditions.
   LSU supports the following functions.
   - Saving the information registered in the one-touch dial, speed dial, or group dial of this machine, in a
     computer
   - Changing the information registered in the one-touch dial, speed dial, or group dial of this machine
   - Configuring Utility settings of this machine
   - Viewing the total counter
   - Viewing the configuration page



2. LSU operating environment
    To install LSU in a computer, the following conditions are required
    * CPU
        Any processor of the same or higher specifications as recommended for your operating system.
    * Operating system
        Windows Vista (x86/x64)
        Windows Server 2008 (x86/x64)
        Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64)
        Windows 7 (x86/x64)
        Windows Server 2012 (x64)
        Windows Server 2012 R2 (x64)
        Windows 8.1 (x86/x64)
        Windows 10 (x86/x64)
    * Memory
        Memory capacity as recommended for your operating system.
        Sufficient memory resource is required for your operating system and the applications to be used.
    * Interface
        USB 2.0 interface, USB cable
      Reference
      - Use a type A (4 pin, male) or type B (4 pin, male) USB cable. A USB cable measuring three meters or
      less is recommended
    * Driver
        CD-ROM drive



3. Setup procedure
   Before using LSU, connect this machine to a computer, and install LSU in a computer.
   (1) Connect this machine to the computer.
   (2) Install the TWAIN driver and printer driver supplied with this machine.
   (3) Install LSU in the computer.

   Reference

   [User's Guide Scan Operations].
   For details on how to install LSU, refer to [User's Guide Fax Operations].



4. Installing LSU
   (1) Insert the LSU CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer.
   (2) Open the [LSU] folder on the CD-ROM, and double-click [LSUSetup.exe].
   (3) Select your model.
   (4) Select a language.
   (5) Click [Next], and perform the procedure as instructed in the dialog box.
   (6) When the message appears to indicate that LSU installation has been finished, click [Finish].
       This completes the LSU installation process.



5. How to use LSU
   Please make sure that your machine's Main Power is ON.
   Please start from Windows [Start] -> [Program].
   When LSU shows no reaction, please make sure that the USB port is
   correctly connected, or check the machine's display whether it
   has error message or not.
   During the machine is working or operating LSU cannot be connected.
   And while LSU is connected, the operation cannot be performed from
   the machine's panel.



6. Uninstalling LSU
   (1) Click [Start] - [Program] or [All Program] - [KONICA MINOLTA<model name>] - [Uninstall].
   (2) Perform the procedure as instructed in the dialog box.
   (3) When the following screen appears, the uninstallation process has been completed



7. Release note

7.1 General
   * In the operation Machine-Utility Setting-Rx Operation-Memory Rx,
     Password and Time are not be changed with the setting is ON->ON.
     When you change Password and Time, please set it OFF first,
     then set it ON.
     (The setting needs to be uploaded to the machine.)
   * "Upload" from LSU overwrites LSU's data on all of the machine's
     data. Please "Download" and "Save" first, if you want to keep
     the current machine's data.
   * In Program Dial, both "edition in LSU" and "Upload to the
     machine" cannot be performed.
   * After data is uploaded from LSU to the machine, be sure to turn
     machine's main power OFF and ON.
   * If setting "Display Auto Shut" invalid in [Administrator mode],
     it might not be change the setting/time of "Auto Shut Time"
     in [Machine Setting]. In this case, please re-open the window
     of Utility Setting.
